Emirates has introduced a new Onboard Lounge design for its flagship Airbus A380
The new seating area design debuts at the ITB international travel trade fair in Berlin.
Developed as part of a multimillion-dollar refurbishment program, the new Onboard Lounge will feature private seating with window tables instead of sofas, which can accommodate up to 26 guests at a time.
There will also be new dynamic lighting, a 55-inch monitor for displaying flight data, live sports and news broadcasts, soundproof curtains separating the lounge from the Business Class cabin, and a new speaker system with surround sound.
Inspired by yacht cabins, the space will feature champagne tones contrasting with dark wood.
The first A380 with the new interior will be delivered to Emirates in July 2017.
